Talon 90 issues

I recently bought a 550e that came with a talon 90 esc. I've been trying to get it set up but its turning out to be a turd of a thing.
I've followed the initial throttle at mid stick and power it up, bleeps for battery type then a single bleep, lower stick to low to confirm.
When i then go to spool it up i have nothing until just past mid stick then it kicks in full power.
I've tried to enter the program mode but it'll not let me, doesn't recognise high stick for a start
I have a 0-100 curve and end points are 100-100.
Any help would be good before this gets binned.

If you can get hold of a Castle Data Pod you can plug it into your computer and it should be very easy.

Doesn't work on iMac so its going in the bin and I've ordered a YEP100A plus programme card that works without a pc
