  • Align RCE-BL80X capable?

    Hi all,
I've recently purchased a trex 500x with the above esc and just have a question?.......
I was wondering if it will be enough for the electrics running in it? I'm swapping out the beastx plus with a spirit 2 fbl controller,
But other than that it's all stock electrics. I also purchased a spektrum AR8010T 8 channel rx which i may use on this, but might not?
I've always gone by the theory that most of Align esc's are pushing there BEC's at the best of times. I've been looking into the hobbywing 10a BEC here...https://www.makeitbuildit.co.uk/hobb...hoCj5UQAvD_BwE
I know it's very big but i'd rather be safe with a little extra weight. Or if anyone else has any suggestions i'd be very grateful?
    Thanks in advance,
    Pete

I'm using g the hobbywing 80A platinum v4 ESC. It fits, just about! I cut off the 2 tabs where the motor wires are and screwed it down using self tapping screws at the battery wire end.

I cant upload a photo as the forum says the image dimensions are too big and I cant resize it on my phone

That's exactly what i decided to get, but i got the 120a v4 as there was £20 difference. 10a continuous with 25 peak is a win win. I'm going to have to see what the dimensions are?!, i think it's just a little longer than the 80a. Love Hobbywing gear. Been using it for years and had no failures in any application!
      Thanks joe_uk
