  • YGE 90 LV or Jive 100 LV? Discount from Kontronik for dead ESC

I have managed to fry the Jive 100 LV in my Logo 550. I have no idea how much discount Kontronik will offer on a replacement but was wondering if it wouldn't be quicker, and possibly cheaper, to replace with a YGE 90LV?
No fancy flying, and strapped for cash!

Give the hobbywing 100a v3 a go you can't get better bang for buck. Good bec and gov now.

As above if you are strapped then the hobby wing v3 is a no nonsense contender. I prefer the 100LV just because they have always been bullet proof for me. Easy to program and awesome governor.

I suppose at £60, out here in Italy anyway, they're an awful lot cheaper. Must say the idea does make me feel a bit nervous.

Used both HW and Jive, couldn't feel much difference flying on a Trex 550L. HW has a higher voltage bec. HW available at Banggood (64.98 usd), or Hobbyking EU site. Hobbyking a bit more but faster delivery. Jive has active freewheeling, as do the HW V4s, but cost a lot more.

Nothing to be nervous about. HW has worked well on my helis. Only swapped out the HW for a Jive, as it had been sitting around for eight months and a mate needed an esc for his 550.

I've got seven HW ESC's, they have never given me any trouble at all. The new V4 are superb, the V3 are good too though the lack of active freewheeling does reduce efficiency slightly.
