Can only go on personal experience and thought mine was really good, had it in a 700 DFC, it is a BIG esc though.

The internal gov isn't as good as a Jive and not close to the vbar gov but it works pretty well all the same.

Got a few YEP 120s at our field and overall impressions are good but one members YEP 100 i think it was on a 550 caught fire and appears to have fried his AR7200 throtte channel along with the obvious fire damage

And another one appears to keep losing its presets and needing reprogramming again.

...think comparing a cheapo yep to a kontronik is a bit unfair lol.

If you use a yep esc with the vbar gov it is excellent.. i had a yep on my 550 for a good while and had no problems.. cheap and does the job.

I had a YEP myself but back when they were still badged Helidrive and everyone took the mickey out of them being an unknown, personally rate them pretty high as i like cheapo stuff too

Just stating that one has caught fire and one keeps losing its settings but the rest seem fine.

Heres my add from way back when i sold it due to excess stock.

I've got 2 helis with YEP's (80A & 150A) and no issues(touch wood) so far. My new(to me) Logo has a YEP on it as well. I was sceptical before I bought mine, but no longer, having said that, not using YEP gov and no plans to just yet, as it seems a faff to set up with a 4V/cell pack etc etc!! Vbar gov on E5, V curve on X4 and not decided about Logo yet, who knows, I might just try the faff method lol.

I was after a Jeti Mezon 115 for my 14s e - conversion on the Vario but they were out of stock so I got a YEP 120HV out of curiosity and have to say I'm pretty impressed. No smack flying here but it is keeping 8Kg of bird in the air without breaking sweat. There's no data logging but the governor works for me, soft start is great and the build quality looks excellent for the price.

I've now got the 60amp on the 500 and that's working well. Make sure you get the programming card!

                    Cheers, Marty
