I have a Quark & a 760 on my heli's and can not tell the difference in use they're both first class.

The Quark is very slightly smaller but I wouldent use anything else having tried many others in this price range!

the quark has advances the 760 did not, not just got smaller.

i would say get a quark if you have a place to mount it. most now get the quark regardless and if they need to run it at the back they use ext leads. i've not had to resort to that myself and run all mine up front.

                    hope that helps.

                    cheers

For the basic flying I do, I can't tell any performance difference betwwen a Quark & a DS760.

                      I love my DS760s, but I'd choose a Quark.

It's smaller, neater & has better PC software.

A Quark will probably cost you more, though. Especially with the adaptor.

so what are the actual differences between the quark and the 760?? (sorry for thread from the dead)

I have both 760 and a quark I just wanted to know what the actual diffences were. I currently have fitted a 760 to my Raptor and Vibe but also got a quark at bargain price. I know the 760 will fulfill my need. And I intend to use the quark on a 500 size something (dunno yet). Just curious thas all

I think the quark is the updated version of 760. If the 760 is running the most up to date firmware it should perform exactly the same as the quark.

The set up may be different between the units, if i remember the 760 doesn't have a set up button but you have to toggle rate/HH switch when turning on to get into set up mode

yeah the 760 is flick the switch to get setup, Basically wanted to know if the quark did anything better really I think. Theyre both dead easy to setup. All credit to Angelos in that respect, and ill get the Vortex when I eventually defer to the dark side LOL

My understanding was that when the Quark came out a couple years ago the only differences were the case being smaller and the firmware on the Quark had been optimised just a bit so that it was basically like a slightly tweaked 760 out of the box. (And the 760 can be easily tweaked with the USB link). I could be wrong but I think they are otherwise essentially the same electronics and firmware in different cases.
