  • DX9 Gyro Menu Question

Hi, I was just wondering what the difference is between having the switch "ON" and the switch "Flight Mode" is?. The manual does not cover what the switch in "ON" position does differently.

As aways thanks for any replies

    Regards,

I don't actually use the gyro facility on my DX9 (I programme helis as sailplanes..!).

However, I think what you're referring to works the same as on DR/Expo or programmable mixes.

"On" means use that setting regardless of everything. ie, whatever the flight-mode, or switch settings.

Set to "Flight Mode" means that each flight-mode can have different DR/Expo settings (or gyro settings, in your question).

I think that if you play with it, it will become fairly obvious, as you'll see the gyro values change for each flight-mode.

Hi Scally, thanks for your reply, this is what I thought myself, however when I set it to "ON" and adjust the gain to say 50%, when I flip it back to "Flight Mode" it only has the 50% in Stunt 1(IU1). the rest remain at 0.0%.

That's not something you'd normally do.

Set it to "Flight Mode" and programme it. Job done...

I still dont understand what "On" is though. The Switch options are "ON" , "FLIGHT MODE" , "SWITCH A" , "B" , "C" etc. Switch "ON" only changes one flight mode.

It says you get one gyro value (or one value per gyro), regardless of flight-mode or anything else.

With "FLIGHT MODE", there are as many values (per gyro) as there are flight-modes.

Wheres it say that?, so whats the use of switch "ON" mode? it doesn't assign the gyro percentage value to all positions...

If you look at the monitor screen, you can demonstrate that it does.

The gyro channel value will stay the same as you change flight-mode or anything else.
