AR7100 Rx with a 2s lipo supply is one way.

Many regulators can do 2s straight thru' to cyclic servos also, ELYQ, Perfect Reg etc

If I remember correctly, Bert Kammerer uses 610's on 8v, and was told to by Alan Szabo. He was talking about it on The Nation pod cast. He had used them for over 1 year, still going well, but the gear set is very loose now. (and how often does he fly?)

I've been running my 610's on 8v for just over a year now. Theyre still holding up pretty well. I dont think I could justify going to anything more expensive when these seem to be so good.

Personally I think it's a no brainer to spend a little more and get some futaba bls451's. Very accurate, don't suck the life out of your lipo, and will also run 8v no problem if that's the way you want to go (matt botos ran/runs his at 8v, and a club mate runs his at 8v on his Srimok. I've seen a few aligns fail in flight, and also in crashes. I'm yet to break a BLS. I ran 351's in my old N9, then 451's in this one for the past year and a half, and just put a new set in the N5. Great servo IMO.

I managed to break a DS 610 at 6.3 V, but that was a combination of unlucky circumstances.
I'm now keeping an eye on my servos (whatever the type), and if they get hot, something is wrong. For example a flybarless heli with a pre-ignition problem.

                    >> what about the outrage sevos that tareq runs, they look bloody brilliant
hehehe the Outrage stuff usually looks great in the ads. They have good marketing people.
Several of their products that I own have been a serious disappointment, clearly inferior to competitors' products.
This is not to start Outrage bashing, but I would wait for some opinions from independent sources.
I'd also check the specs, they aren't that great, given the high price.
