Align servos are made by SAVOX, who may well manufacture for other brands too.
[...]
Personally I think there may be a lot of hype arround expensive name brand servos. The servos are made by servo specialists factories mainly (SAVOX, ino-lab, MKS?) and not the radio manufacturers I reckon.
While I'm not disagreeing with any of that, I think it would be a mistake to assume that because different brands are made in the same factory they are effectively identical products with different badges.
They might be identical products, re-badged and priced accordingly; but there could be specification/QA/etc differences.
Short of rigorous inmdependent testing, I'm not sure how we'd ever know, though.
Thanks for the feedback so far chaps, must admit fellow flier in my own club I swear has shares in Align and probably a tattoo to boot won't use anything else and has never been let down.......... i did find it hard to digest having so many failures in such a short space of time............ Although on the sceptical side have been flying for 20 odd years and only ever had one failure and dare i say it was a savox, luckily not in flight.
