  • 2s (8 Volt) Servo Choices

So who is running cyclic servos on 2s (8volts)?

What servos are you running and how many flights have you had?

Using jr 8717's in a Raptor 90, vibe sg, synergy n9 and trex 700 all on 8volts either through an ar7100r or Arizona kiwi, The raptor has had over 100 flights and one crash on the same servos.

I run 8717's on 8V in my Aurora with one major crash (not caused by servos) and they all survived. I ran them in a Trex 700 aswel

I knew there would be a few using 8717s!!

I guess my real question is who is using servos other than 8717s, as they are abit pricey atm!!

I've heard people using Align and Ino-labs on 8v, just wondering if others are, as they're more reasonable money atm!

Plenty of people have been using Align DS620/610's and BLS451's on 8v over the pond

Having ran both 6v regulated and 8v unregulated power, at my level, it is very hard to tell the difference

JR 8915s here on the 700 fed by an Outrage 2s2p 5000mah lipo on the ElyQ dual regulator. Blisteringly fast and seem to be holding up really well from new although i only have 3 gallon on my 700. Brilliant servos IMO but pricey. I will purchase them again in the future for sure though. Seem to be very strong. Dont think id bother trying to run the Aligns or what have ya on 8v mind. Just cant see them lasting... especially for a hardcore 3Der.

8915 for me on 8v. Clocked up about 14 gallons now on my 700. All seems fine so far

Running both JR 8915's on one of my 700's @ 8v and the other 700 @ 8v using Align ds610 servos without any problems.

I must add that at in the region of £44 per servo these are fantastic value and TBH I can't fault them.

Have you looked at KO props's range of 7.2V FET servos?

I used them on my RC cars for many years and they were very reliable. A friend of mine had one of the early ones for over ten years and raced it every week.

Might work out to be a bit expensive, I think I paid around £100 for mine.

£100 is the going rate for an 8915/8717, in fact you would be hard pressed to find one at that good a price
