Think I just found the servo's for my new Gaui X2....

Already have a DS95i to put on the tail, but was balking at spending so much on the cyclic for a small bird. These will fit the bill nicely!

EDIT - it says only for flybar... how come? The torque doesn't seem particularly lacking and they are nice and fast.

In MKS book, only brushless servo should be use for FBL heli.

The test pilots are testing them for FBL 450, they are trying to find a correct set-up figure for different fbl control unit so you can use ds92 in a fbl heli.

      cheers

Well then they should make brushless micro servos... lol.

Just got my MKS BLS990 and put it on my Protos - what a beautiful servo! once I get a set of these my birds will be completely MKS'ed up!

Will theses DS92's be available in a 3 pack for slightly reduced price?

''the 92 will probably work on FBL fine. The problem is that most servos are/were not designed with FBL use in mind. The demands on the motor are quite severe and heat buildup can kill the motors over time.

I think that's why you see some of the servos like the Align DS410 is now limited to 65mhz update or something like that.

What my theory is on this new servo, and I'm going to test it out as well, is that if we limit the update frequency to 65mhz or so, the servos should be good to go. Will have to update you with testing once I get them in my grubby little hands.''

              Great, thanks for the info...

Let's be honest - if you want to go flybarless on a 250/450, or even a 500 in fact, there aren't really any options for a brushless servo, which means you are stuck with coreless anyway. At least on a 250 size heli the servo's won't be working especially hard anyway though.

The MKS DS9660A+ I have on cyclic in my FBL protos are working brilliantly, and don't come down hot.

They use a Japanese special made motor in DS95, they are designed for 250/450 flybarless heli on the cyclic, Russ Deakin have been flying the ds95 on TT360 FBL since Jan 2011, still going strong. don't worry.

I'm delighted with the DS95, posted many times on here how good they are, no worries for me.
Keep up the development and fine products.
