Mks servo crunchy

I have an HBL980 and three HBL950's on my Diabolo.
None of them are smooth but seem OK in flight.

So I just got off the phone from the shop and was told that it should NOT be notchy and to send it back for a replacement. I will do that and if the replacement is the same I will reevaluate

Good to hear Don. Always seemed unlikely that it should be notchy. Seems as though a lot of us have had the same experience but perhaps just accepted it. For such a high cost product maybe we sould expect better??

To update, I returned the servo a week ago, I got an email yesterday telling me there wasn't any more stock but I can exchange. They didn't have the servo I wanted so I asked for a refund plus the postage cost for returning it

I got an email 10 mins ago stating that the notchy ness is normal and due to the bigger gears but they will refund if I want, however they won't refund the postage because the servo isn't faulty !!

Getting grouchy now, I only sent it back because they told me to

Hmmm, that's annoying. I wonder if they have changed the gears in them recently because mine doesn't feel notchy to me but I have had it for about a year.

Under distant trading rights you are entitled to your return postage if you returned it under 7 days. Or if it's returned due to being faulty which it wasn't. It just gets ugly in my mind going that route. Best just to let them get away with it and buy else where next time. Sorted!

I will accept the servo if it's normal I want to maiden my TSA. I don't really care about the fiver postage more that it's a week wasted pointlessly. Yes send it back it's not meant to be like it / actually yes it is why are you sending it back?

I can loan you a JR8900 (only 4.8 volt) or Align DS655 Don, if you'd like. I was going to say I could send you my MKS to compare but it's wired in with loom tape and would be a biatch to get out.

Thats frustrating, they messed up! I really dont know why thet told you it wasn't normal in the first place.
