  • Seized servo

Hello everyone, I had a strange situation Sunday, my futaba s9252 on my throttle running off a Curtis Youngblood gov completely seized up at 3 quarters throttle........ What's the best servo for the job???

My fav throttle servo so far is the JR 8231, it just feels that bit more precise than anything else I have used.

It's unusual for a 9252 to seize...the gears are weak enough not to jam from fragments often. I've stripped enough of them on my gasser with dings. Only one's I've had seized were align metal ones.. a DS620 on throttle also: great fun keeping the ehad loaded while the fuel runs out..

I have used align 610, spektrum cheapo digital, hitec cheapo digital. You don't need anything fantastic on a throttle. Only servo I have had seize solid is the Align 620 but that was on a tail. It wasn't the gears that seized it was the motor.

I've taken it apart and seems the gears are fine but the motor has seized. Would like to put a half decent one back on, it's not much fun watching it over rev it's self and having to do autos lol!

Another nail in the coffin for nitro, strongly considering electric more now!

Never had a problem with a Futaba S3152 on any of the nitro helis I owned; but now all electric, and wouldn't go back!
