  • Use a backplate sensor with a RL10?

I am fed up of trying to get the alignment right on the revlock sensirs and fiddling with the silly magnets. I was wondering if it is possible to use the backplate sensor that comes with the Ar7100R with the revlock?
    Ade.

I doubt that it would work, but email Wendy at CSM, they will give you an answer, always found them really helpful.

What problems are you having in getting it aligned? Not familiar with the T-rex layouts but on my N5 it took me seconds to get my RL20 right, and not had any dramas since.

No, out of the box it does not work.
The Stator Gator version of the Revlocks (normally used on gasser engines) can be made to work with the use of an inline modification to the signal wire from the backplate sensor though.

          Cheers,
          Rob

I suspect it's on the trex 600. The sensor needs to go inside the frame and dosnt work in the same place as the align 1. It is a pita to set up , but Once done mine has been ok.

Interesting point about the gasser one tho Rob

Ah right, mine has a bracket especially for the sensor.

                Thanks for the replies guys.
Yeah its on a trex 600.
I found it to be such a pain in the @ss that I ended up getting the CSM magnet carriers and placing it above the main gear instead.
Has worked for a while but I threw one of the carriers the other day as the epoxy failed to hold tight.
Oh well. Next time I'll just get an AR7100R and be done with it that way.
                Cheers.
