DS610's at 7.4v ok?

just wandering how many people are running the 610s at 7.4v?

Hey.

Many do without problems, but it's not recommended as you know. However the ones that do fail, do so very quickly it seems.

I'm running my 550's DS610's on 6.9 (7v) volts shown in Vbar live data from a CC BEC PRO and they have been running faultlessly for the past 1+ years. However I've not had the courage to run them on any higher voltage.

Coming up to nearly 15mths now on my 700e-running Align 610's straight off a 2s 3800mah lipo ,got a Futaba 9254 on the tail with dropped voltage,otherwise apart from the usual "noise's" that come with align servo's,,all's well.

Ran mine fine in the Velocity and the 700 at one point.

No performance gain though.

if theres no performance gain i may aswell not bother, still gonna be the same weight

I had mine on my 600 running at 5.2 as I had not set the reg up correctly, recently put it up too 6.8v and did not notice any differance......

I wouldnt bother chris, as Paul said theres no noticable performance increase but one thing i did notice is that my servo became very sloppy very quickly.
