Quick question really. My 700n is using a DS655 on the tail and it's so aggressive i find it too fast for my novice abilities, can i dull it down a bit on the tx so it doesn't want to piro as soon as i touch the stick, other than adding expo, what else can i do??

It's not the speed of the servo that needs to be changed it is the piro rate in your FBL unit and also the amount of expo you have on the stick. If memory serves my FBL defaults to a piro rate of 540 degrees (I think) which works fine but I never use the full rate. I usually have about 18-20% expo on the rudder stick so it's not overly sensitive to the slightest movement.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

Great help thank you, i'll go see what it's set to on the fbl AR7200BX and add a bit of expo and try it next weekend and see. I have to remember that on JR expo is a negative not positive or that'll make it worse! Off to see what beastx default is.

Been looking at the settings and am i right in thinking i need to set the unit to user defined to add expo rather than have it in sport mode? Not seen how to change the piro rate in Bx yet but you tube is only a click away>
Update, change ATV's to 85% not full 100% and yes come out of sport mode and user defined and add expo, thank you Gaturbo and Trillian

Expo is the way to calm down the initial sensitivity to small stick movement, it's common to use quite a lot on the rubber channel, so dont be shy of cranking it right up to 40% or so if that's what feels right to you. Piro rate will help too but will also reduce the maximum rotation rate that you can achieve.Goblin Kraken, SoXos Strike 7, XLPower Specter, Goblin Black Thunder T, Goblin 700 Speed, Goblin 770 Comp Carbon, Trex 700X, Kasama Dune, Henseleit TDR

You need to be in user defined in order to add expo on the Tx. Piro rate is changed by adjusting your endpoints if you're in UD mode. It's not reccommended to add expo in any of the predefined modes as they've aleady done this.Last edited by waveydavey; 07-01-2019, 07:34 AM.

I vaguely remember now from when I had the first generation Beast X. Setting it up with endpoints at 100 and then reduce them for the response speed you want, something like that. The Total-G works that way. But it has been so long I forgot about thatOriginally posted by waveydavey View PostYou need to be in user defined in order to add expo on the Tx. Yeah when I first tried it I didn't like the presets and ended up going straight to user-defined mode after the first or 2nd flight.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam
