  • Align 620 Moving Erratically

Hi guys, I've got a bit of a problem with my DS620 and was wondering if you could help me out please.
I'm using it on the tail of a Raptor 50 with a Quark gyro which is running on a 7.4v lipo through an Align 2 in 1.
When I powered up the gyro was in HH mode and showed a solid blue light as normal but the tail servo wasn't doing anything when the rudder stick was moved or the gyro. If I put a little bit of pressure on the horn, the servo starts twitching for a short time then stops.
I by passed the gyro and plugged the servo straight into the rudder port on the Rx but no change. The same thing happened when I used the throttle port too. Turning the horn by hand is nice and smooth. I removed the casing to see if any of the teeth were damaged, but nothing found. When the gear on the right was removed, the motor just kept spinning continually. If the centre gear was taken out, with a little push it started turning in both directions as if it is searching for a reference point of something and then stops 3 seconds later. No stick movement used.
I have run a different servo off the rudder channel with no problems.
If any more info is needed just ask.

    Many thanks

Are you sure you haven't got the gyro set to 760 instead of 1520 ?

        Or dodgy rx ??

          Hello Don
When I first set up the Gyro it was set at 1520 and I have flown it a few time and was ok but I will check again.
I've tried different ports on the Rx just to see if it could be one single channel.
Just a thought, but would I be able to test the servo in my Blade 450 to see if the same symptoms happen again?

Ok thanks. I'll give it a go now.
Checked the servo setting in the gyro and it is still at 1520

Tried the servo in the 450. Twitching is still there.

Hmmm! It's beginning to sound that way init.

Still, at least it was picked up before I took off.

                    Thanks for your help Don
