  • 3GX governor hunting / oscillating

The 3GX governor seems to be hunting for the correct headspeed. It's like is oscillating around the correct headspeed ie too fast then too slow but at a rapid rate.

    The setup is

    Trex 700N DFC 3GX v3
    TT redline 100 + 20% optifuel
throttle servo HS 325 HB ( recommended by LHS even though its analogue)
    Lynx Clutch and liner

Everything else is standard Align kit.

BTW it's a new heli so new engine and probably not tuned optimally.

I'm guessing there is some lag in the control loop due to the engine or the servo causing overshoot / undershoot of the engine speed.

I have an old Vision 50 with s3152 cyclics S9254 tail and DS821 and revlock 10 for the throttle ( never gave any problems).
So, I could poach a servo ( the voltage is 6V so rules out the S9254 without diode)

Anyone had experience with the 3GX governor?
    Any good ?

I don't have much experience with Nitro helis or the 3GX, so for a blind poke:

How sure are you its the governor and not the engine causing the problem?
Is that throttle servo fast enough to keep up - 0.19secs seems slow to me for governor control but as said - I'm not into nitro.
Has adjusting the governors Gain & lag times made any difference to the problem?
