No for me -40 is rate, which is where the servo centers and returns to center. +40 is HH and on the bench when u move the rudder stick, servo will move to one side and stay there. This is completely normal!

I only use HH. I only have a rate value setup as it helps with setup and I use it to centre the tail slider Pre spool up then its straight back into HH. My quark is on a trex 500 btw with ds520 servo, you will of course need to tinker with those gain numbers to get you tail holding well with no wag.

Ps. If you get any drifting I'd be looking for vibrations straight away

            It's a great gyro!

just changed out from a gy 520to a quark after some time away from helis....
cant seem to set this up, mainly having issues with the travel adjustments. would i be best off using gyr sens menu, or gear swithc?

When u say problems with travel adjustments do you mean maximum travel (end point) of the tail slider on the bench? This should be done in the quarks setup menu not via the radios travel adjust as this only sets piro rate.

yeh, setting the low and high endpoints on the bench, i cant seem to get max travel in eihter menu in both directions, been away from helis for a while, so might be missing something simple.
