Align DS620 stopped working?

I bought an align trex 600 nitro pro v2 limited edition a week ago have completed the build set it up tuned the engine everything working well until tonight when I desided to check the pitches were correct and then the 620 servo on my throttle stopped working I powered down and turned it by hand and it feels weird very heavy movement and not the usual high clicky noise I haven't even flown it yet do u think I should be able to get a replacement for free for this? I'm a bit annoyed to be honest as the servo cost me £40.

if its brand new with the kit then i think you should get it replaced free as long as it wasnt an error caused by to much voltage or something

Yer I bought it for the kit brand new it was running off the 2in1 regulator not straight off battery so don't think that's the reason must just be a manufacturing fault I've emailed the shop so hopefully they will help me out so annoying.

im sure youve checked the simple things like the plugs in properly haven't you?

Yer checked the leads from servo to giro and giro to receiver and checked my end point settings in transmitter to make sure throttle wasn't on 0% for some reason put it was at 100% can't think of anything else it could be :/

My DS620 on my 500 has gotten very stiff lately. On it's way out I reckon.

No throttle holds off, I appreciate the help just in case I have over looked something, which I hope it is something like that even with the power on I can move the servo with my hand like its got no power going to it but all leads are in and everything else works :/ I think it's dead myself.

yes if you can move it powered up id say its dead

Which is crap considering I haven't even flown it yet but at least it stopped working on the table and not in the air Thanks for ya help

just had exactly the same thing happen with a brand new DS615 last week, doing beast x set up and the elevator servo went hard over and stayed there, sent it back where i got it and had a replacement sent out within days

Can u mix and match servos like run 610's on ail pitc elev and 620 on rudder the another make altogether on the throttle? Or do they all have to be the same make?

Yep thats fine just dont mix your cyclic servos

i just had the exact same thing on my 600 nitro.....had a 620 on throttle which had been working fine for months, then at the field the other day it started to stiffen up with both power on and off. i checked the link and carburettor back at home (no problems) and even dismantled the servo to check electrical connections, gears etc but could see nothing obvious.....just had to bin the servo in the end as its just not worth the risk

Doesn't seem very good considering that's the thing that keeps the heli moving through the air :/ I contacted the shop they said to send it to them and they will test it and replace it so fingers crossed
