  • ATG & T9CP Super

I have installed an ATG but am having a problem setting it up. The programing of the unit itself is no problem, but my idle up 1 & 2 are below what is selected. Is the setting within the TX, 'advanced', 'governer' related to a percentage of the headspeed programed into the ATG or is the percentage actually the headspeed intself. eg 0% = disabled , idle up 1 50% = 1650rpm , idle up 2 85% = 1950rpm.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Cheers

it could be that you didnt set the gear ratio correctly. what lights on the ATG are you getting for the gear ratio and headspeeds?

      Hi Ade

      Gear ratio: 1 red flashing

      Idle 1: 3 green flashing

      Idle 2: 3 red flashing

Does the TX percentages within the governer settings having anything at all to do with the head speed?

      Cheers

i dont have my ATG manual handy what does it say those are? increasing the value will increase the headspeed.

          The manual says:

          Gear ratio: 1 red flashing = 8.8

          Idle 1: 3 green flashing = 1750

          Idle 2: 3 red flashing = 1950

I thought that once the ATG was setup, that the TX had no influence on the headspeed settings. Am I mistaken?

it works just like the rev lock the LEDs indicate the speed. the difference is that you set the gear ratio on the ATG and it displays rotor speed rather than engine speed.

the remote channel changes the speed.
