  • GP780 Mount qiestion.

    Hi all,

I have a GP780 on my 450 Pro (and one going on my newly built 500ESP), and i have a slight tail wag that it seems 99% of people get with this gyro, anyway my question is ive just bought 2 Spartan mounting set kits, is it worth me using the metal plate on my 450 and 500? or should i just use 2 pieces of the thick piece foam one on top of each other? (Hope this is making sense).

Or should i get just get off here and mount it like spartan says i.e thick foam, metal plate thin foam?

    Any help would be great!

My experiences on the 500, are that the drive train has to be silky smooth. I mounted the gyro on the bottom tray using 1 futaba gyro pad.

can't stress the need for a silky drive train - the difference when one main shaft bearing was rough was a slight wag at 60% (gyro sense menu DX7) to a well holding tail at 85% (gyro sense menu DX7)

      hope that makes sense
