I have never used the ATG myself but i have used the Spektrum Crank Sensor with a MA RevMAX. Both the RevMAX and ATG/AeroSpire MultiGov etc.. all use the same type of sensor so there is no reason why it should not work. The only Governors that will not work to my knowledge is the CSM Revlock series and the Futaba GV1.
I have used it with a Total G (same inbuilt gov I belive) and its fine I also have a clubmate who uses it with V bar 5.1 pro and thats ok to.
Not 100% definative but helpfull I hope.

If your talking about the backplate sensor then it works fine, to check it the same as before but you use an alan key to turn the starter shaft slowly till the led comes on.
OS motors are no problem, some YS have a metal backplate, if yours has one then you need to get the alu back plate for it to work.
and don't but it up to the back plate it needs 1 to 3mm gap so it only picks up the crank pin and not the whole crank.
I have an ATG & a Spektrum backplate sensor, worked a treat for me for years. I have developed a slight problem recently which may or may not be sensor related (still searching for the answer) but for a setup that's over 2 years old I can't complain.
It's so much easier than drilling fans, glueing magnets and aligning pickups.

How big a gap do you have Guy?
It's on an OS55 so no steel backplate to worry about.
I believe the led is supposed to turn red when the sensor is lined up with the crank pin, is this correct? Mine doesn't!
