Hopefully someone can help.
I have just installed a new GY520 and S9254 on my raptor 50. I have set it up exactly as per the manual - ball link distances etc etc. Function wise, all is fine, i.e. the servo moves the correct way but the problem is it just doesnt respond quick enough!
I have it in HH mode and when hovering it seems to hold direction but put a slight bit of power on to lift the heli and the tail drifts - about 90degrees in about 2m height gain - with a gentle rate of rise. I have turned the gain right down and it is impossble to even get the tail to hold in a hover so I have got all that set up correctly. Even with the gain now set at 100%, I dont have any tail wag and still get the tail drift when inputting small amounts of torque to the rotor.
I have changed the servo response setting to fast and that has made no difference. I have checked the mechanical linkage and it is as free as a free thing.
I did have to adjust the end point setting in the gyro to get full tail rotor movement but not by anything significant so cant think that is causing the problem.
At the moment it is worse than my £15 copy 501 gyro with a cheap car servo in it!
Any help greatly appreciated. I am sure I have something wrong somewhere I just cant find it!
