Running Rx off 2S

I'd like to run my rx off a 2S lipo and run the servos,esc and gyro off 5V. Is this ok. It would allow the rx telemetry to show the lipo voltage.

An AR7100 would allow you to run 8v to cyclics and 5v to the tail.

What servos are you running?

They arent rated for 8v.

Wouldnt you be using the BEC which is built in to the ESC though?

I thought people ran the rx and cyclics at 6v and the taila t 5V and so fed a 6v signal to to a servo running at 5V. I want to run the rx at 8V and the servos at 5V or 6V off the bec and just connect the signal wires. If it is a problem then I'll put voltage level changers in. The power distribution system isn't very good really with the standard servo connectors.
I don't know the uptodate way of level changing. I'd use a couple of transistors. Perhaps someone like micron sells something.

Are you using a DX8?

If so I'd have thought it was easier to just wire the voltage sensor into the battery connector on the ESC so it reads the direct input voltage from the Lipo then use the ESC Bec for the rest.

No. It will be a multiplex receiver which just monitors the rx voltage. The rx runs off a 2S lipo.
