Align governor problem

am running the align governor on my nitro 700 3G and am having a bit of a problem the governor keeps hunting and i cant get a steady rpm am using the dx8 radio and here are the settings i have

normal -80.0 %
stunt 1 -80.0%
stunt 2 -10.0%


when i go below -80.0% the head speed comes down and its to low and when i go -80.0% and above its to high so -80.0% is about correct but the governer just keeps hunting and i cant seems to cure it.

Any help please

also just to add the governor was working perfect a few weeks ago untill the 3g system mess up and the heli went in and after that thats when the governor start acting up and the setting i posted are the same setting i was using before the crash

Are your throttle curves above 50% in both modes? If the curve dips below ( say at mid-stick) the gov will turn off and as soon as you move it upwards or downwards it will kick back in.. So would seem like it's hunting.. Is it hunting in a hover or only when flying around?

Have you set your high and low limits on the gov throttle position?

yes i have done that and its still doing it

Maybe you should wire the gov through an Aux channel and test it works on one head speed.. Adjust the HS by using the Atvs on the Aux channel. That will tell you whether the problem is with the gov/sensor or in the gov menu settings..

if you are putting minus 80% like you are stating in your post then that's wrong, should be showing 80.0% on your transmitter not -80.0%, if so turn the wheel the other way


if its not that simple i had this problem with my dx8, it turned out i was using the right trim to adjust the governor and it had a weird glitch, when i moved the governor switch from 0 position to 1 it was leaving a little arrow next to the o position and only moving the trim adjustment, so i inh the right trim and all was ok, the silly thing is iv just tried it again and it seems to be working ok now, maybe the updates have sorted this problem

Have you checked the sensor mounting is not too far from the magnet?
