I've no doubt it held & performed very well but a 401 can whip the tail on piro's
The tail has to be set up perfect in rate for a CSM gyro. If your used to a 401 set up & then go to a CSM you will have trouble. I had trouble as i was so used to a 401 which you can literaly stick on & fly.
Yes the big sigpic is coming back

I Persisted with the CSM for ages. The CSM performed great apart from basic hovering where the tail would drift. It was never consistent one flight it would drift right, next it would be left. Everything was tried to solve this issue. So on went the 401 and it performs superbly.

there was a csm sl560 on my raptor when i bought it and i couldnt get on with it as i was worried it would let go at any time as once it let go and nearly done a 180 piro and the grabbed again. when i bought a new transmitter and need help setting the gyro up i couldnt find any1 who new about csm gyros or was willing to help. i wouldnt ever have another csm gyro. i got a gy401 on it at the moment but have aspartan quark ready for fitting to replace that 401 as that doesnt hold as good as id like
