  • Futaba S9254 on LiPo with 5v BEC??????

Am desperately looking for a suitable tail servo for my Rappy30 build.

My 2.4Gig radio is LiPo only (incl. rx) so I have a nice 7.1v lipo and a 5V BEC ready to go in, but the bumph on the net about the S9254 servo says 4.8v NiCd only.... HELP.....

It will be fine at 5v, no problem at all.

If you mean you are running the 9254 from an RX that is supplied from a 5v BEC all will be OK. A freshly charged 4.8V receiver battery will be over 5v anyway.

I wondered if the battery technology made a difference - am up to speed on NiMh and NiCd but LiPo is all new to me!!!

        Servo ordered - thanks chaps!

Futaba list the S9254 as 4.8V Nicad or regulated 6V supply so you have nothing to worry about at 5V.
