  • A (very) tight fit!

I've just bought 3 off the metal gear sets for the Futaba S9650, and they fitted perfectly in the servos.

I've done some research, and asked some questions, and apparently the same style of Futaba horn should fit the MG set.

It is such a tight fit, it's ridiculous!!

Have I got the right info? any help gratefully accepted.
    Brian

Can't speak of the servos you have, Brian, but I will say that the MG servos I do have (DS610, 620, 650, HS-65MG) all seem to be a tighter fit on the horn than the plastic gears. Perhaps it's cos of the materials used?

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

I had the same problem with a different brand of servos - rang the supplier's help line and was told to use "Brute" force and it worked for me. Servos are still working but now they slip in and out fairly easily.

I found the same with quick uk futaba horns going onto align servos. Just push them on a bit and use the screw to do the rest of the work. They free up a bit after a few on and offs.

Do they make anything bigger than a 14lb sledgehammer then?
