  • Futaba 9257 dead?

    Hi,

I had a brand new 9257 servo on a TREX 500 ESP 3G and whilst setting up the 3G (what a nightmare) the 9257 started buzzing. Dismantled it and saw the plastic gear stripped so ordered replacement gears. If I connect the servo to the servo tester whilst open on the bench - instead of stopping at centre, the motor in the servo just keeps going (I have removed one of the gears to stop it all binding up). Is this new servo dead or am I doing something silly?

    Thanks
    Chris

one of the gears will have a stop on it if this is removed the servo does not know where to stop and will keep spinning !!

Thanks, I didn't know if that was normal. Carefully realigned everything and put back in case and it appears to centre and move to ends correctly now.
      Phew!

Back to trying to set up this 3G flybarless.
