  • Cheap throttle servo

    Hey all,

I was going to take the 9254 off my 600n and replace it with a ds650. I was then going to put the 9254 on the vision as the throttle servo. However I think that this overkill and a waste of money.

I have an S9202 but that's really slow at only 0.22 at 6v. Would it be worth getting this for a fiver?

Or any other suggestions for a throttle servo?

dont have a nitro yet !! but surley all the throttle servo does is hold the throttle open is it really important to have a fast servo on something that does not really move a great deal ??? i understand that cheep normally die faster but still interested to know

On nitro the throttle servo probably moves just as much as the others, its in constant motion.
Agreed put something decent on there, a failure resulting in ghoing 100% throttle and you will wish you spent the extra £10.

I've also been looking at some cheap throttle servo's and was going to get the unboxed S3152 from Fastlads as been looking through some old posts and its seems the one to go for.

All this got me thinking........If you did get a nasty servo and it decided to stick open...what could you do to cut the engine? I guess if you did manage to hold her in the air with a bit of pos/neg pitch the engine would probably over rev and go bang?
