  • Quark gain settings

    Hi guys

Just interested to hear your views on the gain settings I need to dial into my Tx to look after my Quark?

    FYI I am running:
    • T-rex 700LE
    • Quark
    • DS650
    • DX7
    • Using the travel adjust on the gear channel to dial gain

Any advice you can give would be gratefully received.

Hi I have almost the same set up on my 700 But use an MKS servo I am now up to 52% in heading lock with great hold and no sign of a wag.

I would start at just above the recomended 30% which will work say about 35 to 40% .

I love my 700 they fly themselves

do you by any chance write for a heli mag??????

      Hi Rachel

Many thanks for the advice. I'll dial these in and give them a try.

Yes, I've been doing a bit for RotorWorld. I think I've written about 15-16 articles now, all from a learner's perspective of course.

As I said a few moments ago in the build thread, in spite of my fleet, I'm still very much a novice flier.

Time to start pushing yourself now then Martin to fully appreciate your 700!

I will be at the field to shout lower, inverted, auto etc. LOL although to be honest if its the 2nd or 3rd then it's likely unplanned... Mart is moving into circuit flying though so making ground (like me!)
Personally I would not be practicing this with the 700... too many £'s in the air for a dumb thumb moment...

The gain % depends on a few things. Headspeed/Servo Horn Length/Tail Blade size and the way its flown. I would say anything from 35%-45% being the norm.
