Ds520 not 90 degrees?¿?

Hi all, I have just started setting tail up on my trex 450, problem is I can't get it to 90 degrees, I put gyro in rate mode to set everything up, but no 90 degrees on servo, if I move servo arm either way it's to far which ever way I move it,

I can't use sub trim as it's on the tail and the gyro won't work properly obviously,

Then because it's out of centre, I get very slightly more right tail than left but only very very slightly, it's all working well

is this a problem or should it be ok? Tail is reacting ok, and there is only about 1mm in it on the tail slider,

I use the circular discs on all my tail servos (if I recall correctly). That way, if you cant get a true 90, you can always drill a new hole in the disc.

You can use sub trim if you rebind after you have added it

Thanks guys that may help, I wondered about sub trim, as when I added it the servo moved the extent of the servo range in whichever way I added subtrim, so if I add sub trim in rate mode, switch heli and tx off, then on again it will be ok?

normally if u rotate the servo horn then one of the arms will fit at 90 degrees. futaba arms are numbered and no1 normally is the 90 degree arm. futaba arms fit align servos.

flick into rate, set servo at 90 using sub trim, then rebind and when you turn on in hh the gyro will sense the new value (with subtrim) as centre and you are good to go.

sub trim used to be something to avoid but with these modern radios it is nothing to worry about

Tried it mark, it like if I put it on one it's 88 degrees and if I put it on the next one round it goes to 92 degrees, not centre
