Coptermanic had one on his 450 for a while with no problems, or so I've read.

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

      Sam,

I used the same servo on my 450 with a gy401 gyro and it was good, rock solid mate!

The spec suggests that it can be run on 6 volts. I had one on a 450 running of the 5.8volt bec and it fried after two or three flights. When I contacted BobJ he was good enough to change it for a S9650 that works flawlessly on 5.8volts regulated. He did tell me at the time some of the top US pilots were having high failure rates with this servo when using the Align 35X ESC that has the 5.8volt bec.

Some people have not had issues so once again it is the luck of the draw.

There are much better servos out now than the 3154.

My experience was that the servo was OK in hovering flight on a 450 but is too weak/small to cope once you start throwing the heli about in decent wind conditions. Better to go with the next size up (9257 JR3500) type. I have had both a 3400G and 9257 on my 450 with much better results
