DS620 locked up

Hovering me Titan about yesterday and all of a sudden it started spinning out of control, cant belive i managed to get it down without a smash up anyway when i got it home my DS620 tail servo when powered up turns full travel and will not move no matter what.
Is it finished? wouldnt care its not that old.
Any ideas?

Could also be the gyro. I had a GY401 with a fault where it would make the servo go to full travel on one side. You could try a different servo and see what happens or have you plugged the servo directly into the receiver to see if it is functioning correctly?

I had a DS620 fail on my 600 with similar symptoms. It was a gonna but I got a warranty replacement as it was only a few weeks old.

I also had a DS620 fail on me after a few weeks..turned out to be bad solder joints on the board...begs the question are these align servos actually any good??

Yes its defo the servo and it hasnt done much at all, bought it last December will email and see if i can get a replacement, what are the altenative equivalents?

I had a Futaba S9254 fail on my Raptor after only light use so went to an Align DS650 and that seems fab so far. I know lots of other people on here run these on their 700s and other 90 sized helis. Hope that helps and glad to hear you got the heli down in one piece especially with your new carbons
It certainly shows that there will always be problems no matter what brand you go with, it's just which has the least chance of failure lol

Yeah, the 1290 is (I'm pretty sure) the same thing as the Align DS650.

I have one of each but have not really used the Savox much yet. So far the DS650 is working very well but I have seen problems mentioned before with the DS620 when used on the tail.

DS620 locked up

I have 5align servos, 3xds610s, 2xds620 and a ds650, all of which are fine, the 610s have been in the deck 3/4times, only done one set of gears, the 620s have been on the rudder for a year, no problems at all, was in 3/4 of those crashes, had my ely q boom strike the other week, all of the 610 and the 620 are fine, so yes, align servos are fine IMO, just because afew fail out of the thousands made and used, i wldnt worry about it, just stick a new one on it

Sent it back to Ava models as it is not that old, they have put one in the return post, realy chuffed with the service.

Cool - never hurts to ask for a warranty replacement. Worst that can happen is that they say no but often suppliers, especially the good ones, will say yes.
