  • futaba 9452 sacrifitial gear

Does anyone know if you can buy, just the plastic sacrifitial gear for these servos or do i have to buy the whole gear set?
ive searched all over and can only find the full gear sets.Futaba's site dont even list the gears for this servo

You make a valid point. Not a lot of point in having a sacrificial gear if you have to buy the whole lot. Still, I guess it prevents damage being spread elsewhere tho.

You will usually find it is the same as one of the gears used in an all plastic geared futaba servo, trouble is working out which one

Have you got a piccy, any idea of diameter, no. of teeth etc.. Then I could take a look at the various spare gears I have

See if you can see anything similar on here

        Futaba® Servo Gears

The gear pics are a good resolution

Aren't the gears the same as the S9541?

Are the gearsets cheaper for the plastic geared servos? If not, unless you have some spares in your flightbox from previous repairs, are you any better off buying a full set of plastic gears to get perhaps the one gear you need?

They are a lot cheaper Martin,it would have cost me nearly £30 to replace the full gear set plastic gear sets are usually between £5-10
Just so happens that i had some sitting in the spares box from some previous gear sets from some 3010's
so i should be good for another 3 crashes lol!

Well that's a result then eh? I'll have to look into this for my MG servos too.

                Thanks guys.

I'm not familier with the internals of this servo but if they are the same as the S9451 then the sacrificial gear is the 9151 gear or 1st gear, which you can get as a spare part and is supplied in a pack of two or as a single gear:
                  Fast Lad Performance
                  Fast Lad Performance
                  Thanks!
