Anyone using the Align 620 servo with the Futaba 401 gyro

Know a few people who have had problems
It over drives the servo in one direct when initializing

Saw one fail in flight today and burn out causing the crash

i have been using a DS650 with my 401 on my trex 600 for about a year now with no problems

I have been using a 401 /DS650 for a little while and so far so good.

I don't know why the 401 would treat the 620 any different to other servos, so if it is the correct frame rate it shouldn't fry out just due to the 401. The 601/611 might fry it out if you don't change the settings in the secret menu.

I just wonder if it was a one off, the servo was new and had only about 20min use.

I will swap the 401 for the GP750 Simon just to be sure, unless anyone has a 9254 they want to sell.

'Just had a quick read through a few other forums and it seems there have been issues with the 620 as a tail servo but the problems are not limited to the 401 gyro.

But apparently Align used to package it as a tail servo before the 650 came out.

Anyway, for whatever reason it looks like it might be safest to not use the 620 on the tail. Having said that, it's probably possible to get the same impression about the 9254 from horror stories of them frying out and I've never had any problems with them.

I have been using 610's and 620's for some time without any problems so perhaps i was just unlucky. Regarding the 9254's I have used those for a long time and never had a problem.
