  • 9252's at 6V

I've been running the Futaba 9252's on the Align 2in1 at 5.8V for quite a while
As they are not recommended by Futaba to run at 6V, they've done well

So will running them at 0.2V more going to make much difference?
Is anyone running them at full 6V?

I don't have the 9252's but have been running the 9255's at 6.0v for well over 2 years without any problems whatsoever. Your probably looking at an excess of 6.0v for a fully charged pack anyway

This is an old chestnut. What you have to understand is firstly what Futaba mans by 4.8 volt and 6.0 volt. They are describing a 4 cell or 5 cell Ni-Cd rx battery. So if they state a servo can work on 6 volt they mean it can work with a fully charged 5 cell Ni-Cd battery.

Now the S9252 is rated for 4.8 volt only which means it is good to go on a fully charged 4 cell Ni-Cd battery. The no load voltage of a 4 cell pack hot off the charger is bordering on 6 volts. So if you run a regulated system that has a fixed 6 volt output you should be okay.
