  • Servo wheels for Align 610`s

I`ve just bought a set of Align DS610`s and a DS650 to try in my V Bar T rex 600 and need some information regarding servo arms/wheels.

I believe that the Align servos take Futaba arms and was wondering which ones to get to give the correct pre drilled hole spacing for use with the V Bar and the Align 600 FBL head.

Probably need holes at 10 -11mm.

Being a JR man I`ve never owned anything Futaba so none in my spares box and so I`m looking for the Futaba part number really.

Unless the supplied Align arms are suitable.

You'll have to drill the align wheels to get the centre to ball distance you need, alternatively the six armed futaba servo arm is perfect if you can get hold of some.. my local r/c shop kindly gave me some from the repairs box he has.

I use these ones, Fast Lad Performance one hole in from the end (if that makes sense).

In my experience this dimension allows a meaninful CG & Collective slider setting in VBar setup.

EDIT: See 0h5h1t post also - his advice led me to this solution too

              from centre,

              1st hole = 7

              2nd hole = 10

              3rd hole = 13

              hope that helps.

                  Great stuff thanks

Do you think that the Align head going to be the same as the Mikado conversion regarding the head geometry(the cyclic gain thing)?

You hear about the Mikado geometry thing regarding different heads.

At the moment the 600 is set up with a LF Technik head with the balls at 21mm and JR servos and it works fine - other than the servos being too slow(the main reason for the change).

I was toying with changing one of my 600's to fbl.. and after the usual reading thought mikado had the bst track recod with the 600's.. same concern re head.. if going mikado just seems logical to use their 600 head conversion...?

I'm now hanging on to let folk Beta test the new stuff coming out
