  • HK401 from ebay??

    Hi
Anyone used one of the HK401's on Ebay, that claim to be 'like' a GY401?

I'm looking for one for a TREX 450, and wondered if anyone had any experiences, good or bad, with these?

    Thanks

I am using one on my 450 (HK401B from Hobbyking).

So far it works very well. In my experience the main differences compared to the Futaba 401 is that the HK is a bit more sensitive in gain settings, you'll have a bit narrower 'window' of gain settings where it will work well and not wag. It might be slightly more sensitive to temperature changes. I say 'might' because I have had some drift with it in colder weather but there have also been times in cold weather when it seemed to have no problems at all and I think that may have been when the heli was sitting outside and allowed to fully acclimatise to the temperature.

It can perform very well for the money with a bit more fine-tuning than the Futaba usually requires. The genuine Futaba 401 is a bit more 'plug n play'.
