    'Not sure about cheapish but two good alternatives to the Futaba 9254 would be the Align DS650 or Savox HS1290 MG.

    The Raptor tail linkage is not the smoothest but when it's working properly it does the job. Both mine are mounted up front and use the regular wire rod. I have found that very small changes in the placement of the guides on the boom can make a huge difference in how smooth the linkage works, so the thing is to find the 'sweet spot' for the guides and make sure they stay put. If the link rod makes the straightest possible path and the tail assembly moves freely through the whole range then it will work fine.

    Even a 9254 servo has enough torque to mask issues with dragging or sticking linkage and I have sometimes been quite surprised when I moved the linkage myself to feel if it was smooth.

      Pitch cure -4,5.5,9 - 18,38,55,75,94

      Throttle curve

      20,40,50,60,100

      this will be better transitioning on throttle to what i have at the moment no as bigger steps (smoother)
