Avro servo brackets on other helis?

Has anyone tried using the Blitz Avro servo brackets on other helis?

If they mount onto the regular servo mounts then they should be useable on most other helis.

I'm thinking something like that would be good on direct-to-swash setups to give the servos some strain releif on the servo shafts.

There is no reason why they would not fit, as you state they mount on a standard servo spacing.

The mounting uses a retaining plate and the front plate (servo output support) and the mounting hole adjustment is altered by plastic ecentric cams that fit into the servo lug.

As I recall the output supports are handed.

Sounds like an interesting idea. Just had a look at the Blitz site though and it seems if you tried to use them on an Align 600N/700 for example, you would only be able to use one of the servo links and would loose the benefit of the push/pull setup -not sure that I like that idea.

Yeah, because they obstruct one side it depends on how the servos are mounted in relation to the linkage.

I think they would fit the Ely.Q though, where the servos are sitting right under the swash.

They are a bit pricey as well
