my new jr ds3500g tail servo on my 250 is playing up, all is fine for around 2 or 3 minutes into the flight when all of sudden the servo twitches back and forth uncontrollably. Has the tail sevo had it or could it be something else? one thing thats crossed my mind is that the bec fried on my old esc causing the voltage to remain the same from the battery. I didnt notice it until all 3 of my cyclics began to chatter but not the tail servo. Im just not sure on this, if I had done damage to the tail servo wouldnt it just not work at all? Perhaps its something to do with the rx?

On a seperate note, can the cold have an effect on a gyro? for some reason my gp750 on my pro didnt want to centre and I had to unplug it and plug it in about 20 times before it played ball.

Have you tried adjusting the gain on your gyro? My 250 sometimes does this, I have a CSM gyro and align tail servo, I keep adjusting the gain to try to rectify it.

It's more than likely the gyro. They really dont like getting cold.

When you get to the flying field, leave the heli sitting for a short while before you start flying. That will give the gyro time to get used to the temperature outside.

I think its more the head speed too low, you need your throttle pitch set to flat line of 90 to 100% & if your just flying in norm mode then throttle pitch 0, 90, 90, 90, 90. or 0, 100,100,100,100. if this doesn't solve it then drop the gain a bit at a time but I think if it was the gain then it would do it soon as you take off..
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

im pretty certain its not the gain, its not wag but an irratic tail. so much so that its impossible to control the tail. my head speed is running at 100% flatline.

ok, I think I may have found my problem. I have just been looking at the settings on the gyro and for some reason the servo setting was set to 760 and it was on analogue! no idea why this has happened but will the servo be ok and would this be the cause of my problem?

What is your gain set at needs to be somewhere between 25 & 35% but I cant see it being that as I said before" it will do it soon as you taker off, the other thing you could try is to loosen the belt just a bit just cant suggest further than that.
