More hassle than it's worth in my opinion.
Had one on the aurrora couldn't get it to run properly then the mount started to break up.
Probably the worst £100 plus that i ever spent on my helis.

If you get one use one of these Virtual Shopping

However, I run an AR7100 (non R) in my Aurora and have been warned off it by a few people I trust. I just haven't got round to doing anything about it yet.

There is a lot of people running them with success though.

There is a potential overheating issue with the chip on this receiver.
I don't think it is a problem here in cold old blighty, but there have been lots of problems with it in hotter climates.

The best solution I have seen was on Daniel Jetschins Aurora at 3D Champs.
There is a raised square "window" on the top of the receiver. He has cut that out and fitted a small heatsink onto the offending chip below.

I think the acid test of that fix would be to hear from people in hotter climates who have also done it to see if it has fixed the problem for them, with Germany not being much hotter than the UK.

          Cheers,
          Rob

Does it affect the AR7100 and AR7100R Rob?

I know there is a raised window on the AR7100 aswel so I guess it is the reg not the limiter that causes the issue?

              Yes, I believe so?
As far as I know it's nothing to do with the built-in limiter.
