  • CSM Gov Magnet

Finally fitted my Revlock 20 to the 600 but cant get the sensor to detect the magnet.

When i used the RL 20 with my Elyq the magnet was twice the size of the new one from FL. The one in the ElyQ was exactly the same size as the foles in the Align fan, but the new one is about half the size.

Has anyone else had any probs with this magnet?

The magnet might not be strong enough?
Make sure you use a CSM magnet.

    Cheers,

      Ah, cheers Rob.

Dontr suppose youy know if the CSM magent is about half the size of the Aling one? Trying to work out which of the 2 magnets I have in front of me, is the original CSM one.

CSM one is 3mm diameter Paul. I am going up the field after 2 today, can take my spare with me if you need.

Chers Mike, just sorted it (I think) the sensor must have been 1mm out. glued the senosr onto the other side of the CSM mount and that done the trick

The csm sensor only likes the magnet passing it one way, if its the other way around it dont pick it up
            All the best

Sorry, the CSM governors are the only ones with sensors that don't mind which way up the magnet is, thats why you don't fit a second magnet to balance, just buy the CSM brass blank instead.

I didnt say the polarity of the magnet, its the sensor, on the csm you have a flat side and a curved side lets say the curved is the back and the flat the face. if that is fitted the wrong way so when the magnet passes it goes from flat to face or vica versa it wont read the magnet. I cant remember off hand which is the right way though

hope that made what I said clearer.
