    S9650 gear replacment. GY401 info

    Is there an exploded diagram or any info on replacing the gears on this servo?

    I need to replace the gears and the old ones fall out and I cant seem to get the new ones in the right order!

    Also my 401 took a blade strike and cracked the case. will this affect it?

    Have a look on helifreaks site at the finless video's. If i remember correctly, its under the name how to '101's' there is a video on replacing servo gears. Hope that will help you.

      you can get new casings fron fast lads
      i had a blades strick on my 450 which took a chunk out of the casing sent it to ripmax for testing came back ok ,they are pritty strongh , friend of mine crash this sceadu and the 401 casing completly exploded got a new casing fine

        The 401 is fairly sturdy, Ripmax said they would fix mine, but having waited a month for new cases to come in, they sold them all and told me to buy one from FastLads and to do it myself! Great Customer service!!

          If you are using the 9650 for the tail of a 450, consider dong the 9257 gear swap. This makes the servo faster.
          in this thread you will find a pic of a 9650 with the top off showing which gears to swap.
