My 560 kicks butt over a 401 and my 720 is just the best.....plug play, minor tweak....job done!!!!! Never touched either since!!!!!!
Cue the bun fight!!!! LOL

401 in my opinion has a much harsher stoping rate in comparison to my 560.
A bad set up IMO will show up more with a CSM but in my eyes that is a good thing!!!!

How can the tail whipping be tuned out or reduced? I'm trying piro tic-tocs at the moment and its proving hard keeping the tail consistant when adding the pitch..... i know its half my fault i expect for not being smooth enough but every little helps

An update with regard to my recent experiences moving over to the CSM 720 from the Spartan.
For the past year and half I have been flying Spartans 760s. I got my first one not long after were released and have always enjoyed flying them. Hold is excellent and on the whole not too fussy.
During the same time period I've always wondered why many of the guys I fly with like the 720. I've flown a few different helis with 720s fitted in the last year including Matt Lodges 700 and his Aurora plus I flew Ashes 450 pro recently. It struck me that the tails on all these helis were very linear in feel, superb hold and really consistent piro rates.
I decided a few weeks back to fit a 720 to my TREX 700 to see how it felt compared with the spartan. First proper flight and I was immediately comfortable with the feel. My confidence in the tail was far greater from the off than I could have imagined. I was doing walls of death at half the height I felt comfortable with before.
I was always told by people like Ade that CSM were rubbish and very fussy to setup. From my experience so far nothing could be further from the truth. I personally changed the stop gain settings on mine but as standard they were fine. It really is a plug and play gyro.
The Spartan is an excellent gyro, but I am definitely going to fit CSM 720s to all my models from now on.Slow Mo Blade 550x
