  • Align servos

Just stripped two servos and a few other bits during a fairly minor confrontation with planet earth .
I figure new servos are the safer option but the removed servos appear to have suffered only stripped gears. Has anyone replaced gears on the 6X and 9XP. Cases appear glued or a tight push fit. ( I think I will change my signature text )

    Hi

Yes I have chaged the gears on the 6X and about to chage those on the 9XP.

I found the top part of the servo case came apart with GENTLE pressure from a flat screwdriver.

Simple case of replacement then. Do make sure you put the correct gear in the correct place. I think the gears come with a diagram.

    Cheers

      Thanks Mark.
Looking further at my 6X servo it looks like the case popped open slightly during impact disengaging gear mesh.Have checked gears and they appear fine so have put case back together with a little cyano on pegs and it works ok .Having got a chance to look at the 9XP I see case is fixed at base with 4 screws passing all the way through.Gears are well shot but easy replacement.
