I find it hard to believe that anyone rates anything on the cheapside that Perkins distribute, even their relatively expensive stuff is poor quality...

Mind you similar could be said for Ripoffmax..

Problem is the market is driven by people/modelers trying to do things on a shoestring and a lot of the time it just doesn't work

Yeah which is pretty much what I posted a while back, if you bid over the market value it's your problem no-one elses

jASON, I think your comments are a bit unfair,i also fly at DMHC and have become a very accomplished flier,i unfortunately have learned the hard way with many crashes along the way and i have used substandard equipment..

Since flying at DMHC which i thoroughly enjoy i hasten to add, many different people of varying levels have given me valuable advice, some i have taken onboard, other bits i have ignored

The person i have benefitted most from is Ade,,he has been more than helpful and given me clear advice on what he believes is the most cost effective way to do things and equipment to use..

I am not sucking up to him in any way,if i disagree with something i will tell him and have done so,but i really value his opinion and feel his only motivation is to genuinely help individuals to progress in this hobby with the minimum of long term cost and problems along the way

Hmm, Ade sold me a load of clobber that may have been a bit over the top for my requirements when I bought it, but the exta cost was not a huge amount more.

Thing is, I moved on from hovering as most people do and that same radio gear is still going strong in my Avant, if I had skimped at the time it would have cost me more.
