  • Multigov Pro Limter/Gov Modes

I currently run my multigov in '3d governor' mode. NowI have read of people using it in 'limiter' mode as you get a better performance out of the unit.

Now from what I understand, you setup a flatline on your throttle curve, setup the multigov to limiter mode and it will then only work on reducing headspeed rather than trying to ramp it up as in the other two modes.

So would I just setup a 100% flatline in idle 2 for instance and then the multigov would work of the headspeed settings I pre program or do I need a lower flatline than that? For those that use the multigov in limiter mode - did you see a noticable difference when using it this way rather than 3d gov mode?

    Cheers

3D gov mode has always worked well for me, although on the YS you need to up the low throttle percentage as it will sometimes drop off too much. never used it in limiter mode.

Works great for me too. So much better than the align gov. I am just curious about the limiter settings and what the benefits are.

apparently it works really well may give it a try myself too. If it were me I would set a 100% flat line and limit down. if sensor go's, drop into normal and fly a curve to land.

Let me know how you get on with it. I wasn't too sure if the flatline should be around the wanted headspeed without the gov on or whether you should give it an all out 100%.

The way i understand it is this:

            Set idle up 1 + 2 to 100% flatline

Set the headspeed you require in the gov

This way the gov will always be bringing the head speed down and it works very well.

Set normal mode to a normal curve.

If there is a problem with the sensor or gov then switch to normal mode and you have control of the throttle again.

Like i said this is my understanding of it

I use my multigov in limiter mode and have a pretty high V throttle curve along the lines of 100 - 90 - 100.
All you need to make sure of is that the lowest point of the V throttle curve is higher than the top point of the limiter value (so that it doesn't hunt etc) - this is the same for the throttle jockey revmax.

You can set Idle1 in gov mode and Idle2 in limiter mode, if you have your Tx programmed to use the IdleUp switches.

I never bothered and just use the 2 position switch (Aux2) for my remote gain - so you could set one position as Gov mode and one as Limit mode - or any other mix of those two options.

You have to set that up (gov or limit mode) using the programmer LCD screen (you probably knew that already, but worth mentioning )

              Cheers,

                Cheers Rob.

I just use set my gov modes via my idle ups on my tx. I would be useless at remembering to switch it over via a different switch.

Will try 100 - 90 - 100 at the weekend in limter mode then and see how I get on.
