  • s9254 Ni-Cad only?

ive just received my s9254 servo, for use as a tail servo, and ive noticed that on the piece of paper that came with the servo it says "Ni-Cad use only" or something similar. trouble is im going to replace the current Ni-Cad 1000mAH pack with a 3700mAH Ni-Mh pack , will the servo still work on this pack? or am i just asking a stupid question?

It'll work fine. However, do not use it with a 6V pack. It's only designed to run at 4.8V

You will get away with using a 5.1v regulated supply. Just like a nice freshly charged 4.8v battery pack but throughout your flight.

it stems from the days when nimhs sucked. Their internal resistance was high making their voltage drop under load from these high performance digitals.
